The Model 8989 Heavy Duty Combination Brake Lathe will turn a set of dual tires with drum weighting up to 600 pounds with the optional 1 7/8" Arbor and Outboard Support. MODEL 8989 FEATURES Extra large, cast-iron, adjustable dovetail ways are protected by stainless steel telescoping way covers. Every Accu-turn Brake Lathe has an oversized and hardened alloy spindle which runs on adjustable tapered roller bearings. Each cross slide is powered by an independent servo-motor allowing the main drive motor to power the spindle only through a simple worm and gear drive.
